From Jim Wexell's Twitter account: Scout.com's Adam Caplan is reporting that RT Willie Colon injured his Achilles' tendon while working out this morning. No prognosis yet. Not good. Fingers crossed, bigtime. Achilles injuries are no joke. Hopefully this was just a minor tweak, but as we just saw with Limas Sweed, these injuries can be quite serious. Colon, one of the most durable players on the roster, hopefully won't have his streak of consecutive starts snapped at 50. Stay tuned. Update: MRI results have yet to come back, but multiple outlets are reporting that it's almost a foregone conclusion that Colon will be shelved for considerable time. Very, very unfortunate. More soon. UPDATE: MRI results confirm Achiles' tendon tear. Willie Colon will miss the 2010 season.
