Breaking!!! Steelers sign THE HOTEL

Breaking!!!  Adam Schefter is reporting that the Steelers have signed Flozell Adams to a two year contract.

No word yet on the exact amount but it is for two years.

I know he is a former pro bowler and some say a dirty player but could he be the link to save the O-Line??

I recently read about moving Starks to right Tackle,  would that be because of Flozell taking on Left Tackle duties??

Opinions please!!!

I thought this was just wishful thinking.
Initial reaction, I love this move, he is an upgrade at two positions, if he plugs in at LT then he is better that Starks and Starks goes to the devastated RT.

Camp just got interesting-er

If Troy, Harrison and Woodley are on top of their game, that is good for 9 wins right there, regardless of what is going on with their offense. - Mr MaLoR 28/6/10

I like it

Flozell, if he stays healthy, will be an adequate LT, and Starks can move back to RT where he has a significant amount of experience. The interior can be sorted out during camp, but I don’t think our o-line will be too much of a liability this year.

didnt think about that

they have some sort of radio for QBs im sure they could give something like that to Adams and put it on the left side of his helmet

It's actually a rule

If I’m not mistaken, it’s the “Kordell Stewart Rule”. Only the QB and defensive captain can have radios in their helmets

As opposing quarterbacks crouched under center, Lambert pumped his legs up and down, thumping the turf like a war drum. He mouthed threats to opposing running backs that would make even the most hardened Catholic nun weep for humanity. He fulfilled those threats with coldblooded suplex tackles. He may or may not have chain-smoked at halftime, depending on who you ask.

For sixty minutes each Sunday, Jack Lambert was a demon.

Yuck.

He’s not nearly as good as he used to be, he’s old, but he’s not bad. I see his upside. But he’s also guaranteed for one holding penalty and two false starts a game.

I wonder if the Steelers made him an offer a while ago (back when he worked out for them), and he just waited to see what else was available. Turns out there wasn’t much demand.

but to say I was replying to someone who said maybe in the first, at this point he has nowhere near shown a first round pick so I was completely correct to say no way in the first.

But you are right, everything, can and will change by april, remember when Brandon Spikes was a first rounder, as were Carlos Dunlap and further back Ryan Perriloux.

I wasn’t trying to say that I was better than him (even though I’m pretty sure I am), what I mean is I happen to think that particular analyst is a fool, whereas someone like Mel Kiper or Walt Cherepinsky or even one of our very own SBN members tj.hendricks would lead me to accept the view more.

I meant the find my rankings bit as, I don’t think I even graded Mike as a top 50 player and nobody here, nor at MTD picked up on it, so calling him 1st round goes against public opinion hugely.

Steeler Move

I think it is a great signing. Get a veteran who most teams have counted out and then watch him flourish in our system. I really think this will be a quality move and one of the best moves of the year for any team. He gives a solid piece to a line that should see Pouncey start and have a stronger base all around with Kemo back for a full season. I am looking forward to this year. Everyone in the league has counted us out, but if we hold the fort while Ben is out and go .500 at least, there is a really decent chance we make the playoffs, then it is anyones season.

I have no doubt that Byron L can hold this team together while Ben is away for 4 or 6 games. My thing will be when Ben comes back what if he is not as sharp as Byron? Big balls decision that’s up to Tomlin…stay tuned!!
