Steeler madden ratings

http://espn.go.com/videogames/madden11?teamId=29

nothing major to complain about actually, and I usually have a lot to complain about with ratings.

Do have a few gripes though. Before Ben was suspended they had him listed as a 91 overall in a preview. Now hes an 88, whats the deal?

All the Steeler rookies are fairly disappointing.

Theres some serious drop of in the DBs after McFadden, which is realistic, just painful to see. Though Lewis shouldn't be that low.

Reed is too low.

And Dixon and Batch's overalls should change places.

upon further review

Troy's tackling is way low. A 70, seriously?

Ben's accuracy is really lacking.

Eason isn't all that great but I really don't think he is that bad, much less our worst d lineman.

Ziggy has no motor in this, low acceleration, medium pursuit, and low stamina.

Essex at a 77 is a bit generous.

Gonna have to say that Troy’s tackling shouldn’t be listed higher than 75. It’s his biggest weakness, which in totality, isn’t much at all.

eh

i dont know, 70 is still way low. Its the weakest part of his game but his game is awesome, so there really is no downside. His tackling should at least be 80.

Yeah

His tackling ability or lack thereof really stood out when he couldn’t tackle Chris Johnson against Tenn last year.

Shit, I would put him at a 99. He is the best 1 on 1 tackler in the NFL IMO.

Show me these statistics. The best part about the Baltimore fan base is that we are all mostly from the area and refused to root for anything else than Baltimore sports. Go on our blog and you will about 3/4’s of the people there can tell you anything about the Baltimore area. This is a true fan base.

Go on the blog and ask a question about an area of Baltimore and you will see many people talking about it. I know that at least 20 of the main people who blog there are from this area because we have had many conversations about Baltimore. We dedicated half a thread once to talking about how crappy Owings Mills Mall is and how the subway has ruined the area.

But guess whos number 2 on the team? Jeff Reed, noooo
Isaac Redman…. guess again…

Big Ben Roethlisberger has a 93 on swagger. Which is key to seducing college age women. Innocently enough.

what is the swagger thing?

by shleeve on Jul 7, 2010 2:23 AM EDT up reply actions

EA Explanation: The “Old Spice Swagger” rating determines the likelihood of a player to celebrate on the way to the endzone, or after a touchdown. For example, a running back like Adrian Peterson (99 rating) has a greater tendency to celebrate than Frank Gore (50 rating)… Not sure who started that rumor or speculation [about confidence]. It’s purely a set personality rating.

Just wait till you’re 21, it is even better. What a great year it was for me last year.

"However, the true greatness of the Ravens’ line lies in their malevolence, led by right end Haloti Ngata. Simply put, Ngata can’t be blocked by mere mortals. He is not a product of the human species. He is really a creation of a building contractor, made of cinderblocks and some type of flesh-like covering. Throw in Kelly Gregg at nose tackle and behemoth rookie Terrence Cody and you have something truly frightening."

That is so unfair.

Well France is basically my new home anyway

I’m back there in a few days, then here for 3 months then moving there for a year or so.

and to think that Lidl is German..

Though I have to admit, the beer they sell in Germany for that price plain sucks. Also, I’ve made a ton of bad experiences with arrogant people in france hating on foreigners… probably more than any other countries I’ve been in.

by Simonsen on Jul 10, 2010 10:57 AM EDT up reply actions

yeah, the french are a bit like that, but so am I

I cannot stand the people (mostly brits) who when they go to France expect to be treated like royalty and just speak English, I am generally accepted a helluva lot more because I speak near fluent french, to the point that my country of origin is hidden.

there's the huge difference though

your native language is English, so naturally people will speak it more. Try going to France speaking English (even if it is your second language also) and doing the same in Germany… The difference in general helpfulness (did I just invent a word or does that exist?) is crazy.

Also, once they have figured out you are a foreigner (I have had years of french in school, don’t know much but enough to get around), they will hate you for everything. Maybe not everybody does, but I have made that experience more than once. I don’t know, maybe I’m spoiled because of how nicely foreigners are treated in Italy, Scandinavia, Greece, even the US. Never had any kind of problem there, but in France – not only once but all of the three times I’ve been there. Oh well, not everybody can be nice I guess.

In a way I'm glad this post was made.

No news is good news right now.
I’m still seriously dieing for some info, but during NFL hell, aka July, I’ll be content reading post about games I’ve never even watched someone play.
Wow, I need a life.

If you buy a foreign made product you give money to a person who will not be buying an American made product that you get paid to make. Think about it next time you're at the store.

by klompus on Jul 7, 2010 8:21 PM EDT up reply actions

i think worilds got jacked on his speed rating

im pretty sure he ran a 4.51 thats prolly faster than what hines is running these days. thads speed is faster than i expected and mendenhalls speed should be 92. other than that everything looks pretty good but i still wonder what antonio brown & chris scotts ratings will be.

I wasn't around Monday

so I didn’t do the Monday review thing. I did however watch “Hot Tub Time Machine”. It didn’t warrant a review but I still may. I will get back to it Monday. Unless you want to do a Thursday movie review and I’ll throw in my Hot Tub review.

Madden giving Thaddeus Gibson some love.

Other than the rookie Awareness stat and low strength he’d be about as good as the starters.
