Alternate BTSC fantasy league

For those of you out there that have been wanting to get into a fantasy league and play with some of your fellow BTSC-ers, I thought that I would see if there was interest in getting another group together. Just one twist - since this is for Steelers fans, we'll change the rules up a bit to keep Arians happy; more after the jump.

Star-divide

Let's start with the roster:

  • QB: 1
  • RB: 1
  • WR: 1
  • Flex (WR/TE): 1
  • TE: 5
  • D: 0 (We don't need no steenkin' defense!)

Scoring:

  • TD (Receiving): 6 pts
  • TD (Rushing): 1 pt
  • TD (Passing): 6 pts
  • 2 pt conversion (Receiving): 6 pts
  • 2 pt conversion (Passing): 6 pts
  • 5 yards receiving: 1 pt
  • 5 yards passing: 1 pt

Bonus Points:

  • 30+ yard pass (passing or receiving): 10 pts
  • 40+ yard pass (passing or receiving): 25 pts
  • 60+ yard pass (passing or receiving): 50 pts
  • Empty set: 3 pts
  • Empty set on goal line: 10 pts
  • Intercepted pass: 1 pt (if you're not getting intercepted, you're not passing enough!)
  • 2 TE set: 1 pt
  • 3 TE set: 5 pts

Penalties:

  • Fumble lost: -2 pts
  • 2 back set: -1 pts
  • Lead Blocker: -2 pts
  • Fullback scores: -5 pts
  • 2 pt conversion (Rushing): -2 pts (*anyone* can run it on the goal line)
  • 100+ yards rushing: -1 pt
  • 150+ yards rushing: -5 pts
  • 200+ yards rushing: -15 pts

So, who's in??? Sound off and let me know what Bonuses/Penalties I missed... Now I just have to find a league with flexible enough rules... ;)

'bet Bruce Arians would play.

Need to add a few WR. No OL. How many points for getting sacked.

good point

a sack should definitely be a few bonus points – NEVER throw the ball away when someone might could get open, just maybe…

did this post tongue in cheek of course

but yahoo is more flexible than i thought, it will let you create a league with the roster above and the following scoring:

Passing Touchdowns	6 Points
Interceptions	1 Points
Sacks 2 Points
Passing Yards	5 Yards = 1 Point
Rushing Touchdowns 1 Points
Reception Touchdowns 6 Points
Reception Yards	5 Yards = 1 Point
Return Touchdowns 6 Points
2-Point Conversions 6 Points
Passing Yards (Bonus 1) 30 Yards = 10 Points
Passing Yards (Bonus 2) 40 Yards = 25 Points
Passing Yards (Bonus 3) 60 Yards = 50 Points
Reception Yards (Bonus 1) 30 Yards = 10 Points
Reception Yards (Bonus 2) 40 Yards = 25 Points
Reception Yards (Bonus 3) 60 Yards = 50 Points

of course, some of the more “creative” bonuses and penalties aren’t possible…

what if it's a sweep with your slowest back?

Only

if the back was a TE.
