Alan Faneca Interview
Hey Steeler Nation,
I got plenty of feedback I had with the last two Steelers, I interviewed, Joe Burnett and Jonathan Dwyer. Here is another.
I had the chance to interview Alan Faneca for my website. http://prointerviews.org/2010/08/05/afan/
I hope you all enjoy the interview. There's really not much to say about him, yet, he is a future Hall of Famer, was drafted in the 1998 draft, 1st guard taken, and has made nine consecutive Pro Bowl appearances.
All I got to say is thank you for letting me share this with the nation, and follow him on twitter @Afan66
Thanks again,
-Max Strauss-

now with him on the line (old or not) that would be scary
"If I could start my life all over again, I would be a professional football player, and you damn well better believe I would be a Pittsburgh Steeler." Jack Lambert
"Going after the QB is like playing king of the mountain. When you get the QB, you're on top of the mountain." Joe Greene."I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest. If you can't take it, you shouldn't play." Jack Lambert. "I'm a steeler fan, you damn well better believe I'm better than you". Yours truly

Question I would have asked
Me – Do you, ummm, remember that time, ummm, in the Super Bowl, (clears throat), when you pulled for that block, and ummm, Willie, uh, Willie Parker ran for that touchdown? Do you, umm, do you remember that?
Faneca – Yeah, I remember.
Me – That was awesome.
Awesome?
and you call yourself a Steeler fan.
Possibly the second most beautiful moment in the history of sports.
Oh momma I'm in fear for my life from the long arm of the law
Lawman has put an end to my running and I'm so far from my home
Oh momma I can hear you a'crying you're so scared and all alone
Hangman is comin' down from the gallows and I don't have very
long
If Troy, Harrison and Woodley are on top of their game, that is good for 9 wins right there, regardless of what is going on with their offense. - Mr MaLoR 28/6/10

HA!
Wasn’t that a Chris Farley bit on SNL?
As opposing quarterbacks crouched under center, Lambert pumped his legs up and down, thumping the turf like a war drum. He mouthed threats to opposing running backs that would make even the most hardened Catholic nun weep for humanity. He fulfilled those threats with coldblooded suplex tackles. He may or may not have chain-smoked at halftime, depending on who you ask.
For sixty minutes each Sunday, Jack Lambert was a demon.
Good one World
Got a nice laugh out this. Haven’t thought about those SNL Farley bits in along time.
To Paul McCartney: Remember on Abbey Road, when everyone thought you were dead?...
That, was a, that was a hoax right?

Another great interview, it seems like the players enjoy talking to you, and that’s a big part of getting a good interview. Keep up the good work man.
It’s cool to hear he still keeps in touch with people from Pittsburgh. Best wishes to you 66!
Thanks Phanta, means a lot.

I really liked this...

good, but the questions were kind of predictable
everyone asks the same stuff. it is interesting but I guess being a Howard Stern fan I want to know if he banged a lot of cheerleaders. what is it like to be the start football player inhigh school and get previliges others do not.
did you ever have to fight someone in high school? were they tiny compared to you? what do you eat to stay fit but big? what kin dof pain are you in Monday morning after the game?
Yeah, I'm more of a guy who interviews players on the personal side,
and to be honest, he was not that predictable. He has a great sense of humor and balances that with humility.
