Nobody in the league makes plays like that

Greatest of his position in the game,
arguably the best defensive player in the game right now.

"He was popping off down there the first time they were about to score. So you run your mouth, expect to get something. Everything's between the lines, so he got what he had coming. He was running his mouth and getting in the way of the train, and the train wasn't coming off the track."

As for CJ, he’s going to get his. That’s what he does. You can’t hold him under 100 yards, so forget that. The best part for opponents is that he’ll make your run D feel like they’re doing a nice job for a quarter or so, then he’ll piss on their dreams by breaking-off a monster run. That’s his average Sunda

It got brought back on a dumb holding away from the play.

It was not dumb

the penalty was right on. the very next play hoke was able to move sideline and bust up the play for CJ. Thats the way the game is played. hold one lineman and a TD can be had. It was a good call.

Besides, in “fairness” we also had a TD called back…

line rotation on both sides of the ball was impressive, also with LB’s. O-line was prolly the weak link, not a surprise, but D bailed us out. Good for Brown..actually more like, “hell yeah Brown!”. I was all for staying safe with returns, still kinda am, but that td was awesome. 2-0 baby

Eff Baltimore. Eff Cincinnnnnnnati. Cleveland, sorry you suck.

  • Troy Polamalu is the only human being in the world that could tackle Isaac Redman.
  • Lawrence Timmons, all your yards are belong to him.
  • Chris Johnson who? Sorry, but Barry Sanders owns that record.
  • I <3 Charlie Batch
  • How do we keep winning with -3 healthy OL on our roster? Oh yeah, Maurkice Pouncey
  • James Harrison will murder you. Not literally, like Ray Lewis, but figuratively on the football field.
  • Jeff Reed is cooooooold aaaaaasss iiiice, ya know that he is

Look Who is in First Place

It wasn’t a good offensive game – BUT our “D” is BRUTAL. Just please give us a decent “O” line. We have a decent QB, great running backs and receivers but NO “O” line except for Pouncey and possibly Kemo. If we are 4-0 when Ben comes back, there will be no stopping us. Our LB’s and DB’s were devastating. That kid Sylvester is going to be a star. Sepulveda is definitely a beast. Also, we need to cut ARE and Mwelde, they have worn out their usefulness. Bring in some “youth”. Brown and Sanders can handle our punt returns and KO returns. Where is a good “O” lineman when you need one. Did not get the prognosis for DD, but hope it is not a serious injury. 3-0 looks very “do-able”.

by Allen F on Sep 19, 2010 5:03 PM EDT reply actions

cut ARE - no way!

Presence in locker room and on the field. One of the best pairs of hands on the team. THAT’S why he’s our punt returner. Besides, when our real quarterback gets back, maybe we will actually have a passing game. It’s a long year and you can’t have all rookies. ARE will show why he’s back before long.

Mwelde – again, experience, few mistakes. Guys like that are needed. I think we have a great mix of vets and kids.

"He had no teeth, and he was slobbering all over himself. I'm thinking, 'You can have your money back, just get me out of here. Let me go be an accountant." I can't tell you how badly I wanted out of there." Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

by madanthonywayne on Sep 19, 2010 6:50 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah... cutting ARE and Mewelde is going a bit far

By my count 13 (once McLendon is sent back down to the PS and Leftwich returns) guys on the roster are either rookies or in their second year. That’s 1/4 of the team that fits solidly into the “youth” category. No need to cut savvy vets that are bringing the kids along and helping them develop

Ratbirds and Bungles are talking about how important it is for them to sweep us. If our D stays healthy it is not happening this year.
