I hate the Ravens. I really do. I also am on record as saying Ray Lewis is over-hyped.
That being said, they got robbed in Cincy
Anyone else see the game? Guys, if the call onTerrel Suggs is roughing the passer, how can three Steelers turn VY upside down and plant him in the turf and not be called? Suggs was in the air when the pass was thrown, and he hit Carson Palmer in the chest with his shoulder. That was not roughing the passer... really bad call.
And, as much as I hate Ray Lewis, when does a sack turn into a roughing call? Ray was chip blocked by the back, fell as he tried to jump the guy, and knocked Carson Palmer down by hitting his legs... roughing the passer was called. So, what should have been a 8 yard loss turns into a 15 yard gain. I didn't see it from every angle... maybe Ray leg whipped him... but it sure looked like a clean play to me. (Although, Ray took his helmet off to argue and wasn't fined... hmmmm....)
I guess its Karma. The Ravens got a great (and suspect) call last week when the Jets were called for roughing the kicker. They went from having to kick a field goal to scoring a TD in a game they eventually won by one point.
But, yesterday, the refs took one from them, IMHO.
The Zebras giveth... the Zebras taketh away, I guess...
