In Memoriam: George Blanda

A forerunner to many other great Western Pennsylvania QBs, George Blanda from Youngwood, PA, died today at the age of 83. The son of a Czech-born coal miner, Blanda played for 26 seasons, longer than any other player and also scored more points than anyone else in league history. No player will ever match what Blanda achieved during his illustrious career.
