Practice Squad Rules

Just downloaded the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement ("CBA").  Here are the rules for the Practice Squad:

Article XXXIV of the CBA:  Teams may have eight practice squad players. A team cannot simply assign a fringe player to the practice squad. He must first be waived and go unclaimed by another club. The player then would become a free agent, not bound to sign a practice squad deal.

Players must meet one of the following criteria while previously not being on a practice squad more than two seasons:

  1. No accrued seasons of NFL experience.
  2. Free agents who were on an active roster for fewer than nine regular-season games during their accrued seasons.
  3. A season on the practice squad constitutes three weeks.
  4. A practice squad player remains free to sign with any other club, but once signed must remain on the new team's 53-man roster unless cut.

Cuts

Am hoping that we can attain Worthington and Summers on the PS. I think that both of them, with a little more experience will be valuable future players for our Steelers. I believe that Summers will be a better runner than a blocker – especially in “3rd and short” situations.

bridges burnt?

I not certain if Summers bridges haven’t been burnt already. They seem to be scorched at the very least.

How do I break it to the cat that since he has been declawed, the rabbit he sees in our backyard would kick his sorry butt?

Fringe NFL players who want to stay in NFL.

Need to keep there mouths shut.
May have lost a spot on the PS if reports are true.
Especially with Fast Willie unemployed now.

If you buy a foreign made product you give money to a person who will not be buying an American made product that you get paid to make. Think about it next time you're at the store.

How much

do PS players get paid? Just curious.

Steelers football is supposed to be 60 mins, recently it's been 45. The additional 15 are currently under construction.

….not too shabby
