won’t give us a bye week… it’s very rare… so many teams would have to suck pretty bad to give an 11-5 team a chance to have a bye week.

Very true. Didn't think about that, maybe we don't get the bye

15-5 then? Sounds right.

if 11-5 gets us a bye week I’ll paypal you one hundred dollars. It’s possible this year that 11-5 will barely get a team into the wild card spot. Off the top of my head you have the loser of Pats/Phins/Jets, Texans/Titans/Colts, Bengals/Ravens/Steelers competing for two spots. That is one division winner from each group going in and that leaves six teams competing for two spots. It’s going to be interested. This asumes the Titans/Texans play up to their talent and Phins/Pats don’t get blown over by the Jets, and the Bengals don’t take a step backwards.

Last year

Steeler_ tried to have a “pick the score” overall season winner. After a few weeks, calculating all the scores, took more time than was available. It was a lot of fun, but I suspect the “pick the score” posts, will be a weekly thing from now on. That’s fun too, a lot less work, and more winners.

A sensible prediction for Redman? Could it be?! I think he’ll get around 5-10 carries(depending on how the running game goes). 25-40 yards would be a very good success if Mendenhall can exceed 100 yards on the ground.

Oh, did I mention she’s a monster Steelers fan? That will make up for a little bit of “weird face”, right?

My heart says 19-0 record and a 33-3 pasting of the Vulcans.

My head says 9-7 again this season and no playoffs.

We lose a close, low scoring game Sunday.

We go 1-3 without Ben, beating the Yuccaneers.

Lord, I hope I am wrong.

I do think our biggest concern beyond not having our franchise QB for ONE QUARTER of the season is the offensive line.

Pouncey is an upgrade, but the rest of the line is even worse than last year. Essucks? Hotel? Starks? Chris K. is the only one on the line besides our rookie who could even start for another team in the NFL.

Sorry to be Buzz Killington, but that’s how I see it.

Not out of my mind.

I have been and will always be a steelers fan. Born a steeler fan. Lived in 6 different states. Still a steelers fan. I am being practical. No Ben for four weeks. Will take him two weeks to get into the swing of things. By then, it is too late. Just so you know, I was born and raised in southwest PA. My whole family still lives in southwest PA.

You're practically a turd!

And this goes for anyone else that thinks that my Steelers are going to lose this weekend or have a loosing record for the season. As a fanatic, of the only 6 time team, I feel like we can win every game and go to the superbowl every year.

Stats lie (90% of people agree…) like a rug, if that’s what you’re basing your decision on for the loss. The human factor and hoep is what I base my wins on. We’ve got some pretty pissed humans playing this year trying to get the taste out of their mouth from last season. We’ll win nubster5225…. have faith in the steelers….

No Names Ninja. Seriously,

5225 is entitled to his prediction. Everyone can think what they want. If this guy thinks the Steelers will go 6-10 and he says he’s a Steelers fan you have to take him at his word…unless you have other evidence of trolling.

I predict 11-5 BUT BOTTOM LINE…The Steelers could easily go 6-10 in any season. Steeler football is root canal. You grip the chair for 3 hours listening to the dentist drill hoping he gets the cavity and you get the nurse with the big boobs. Sometimes they win and sometimes Burnett drops the INT or Sweed drops the TD and they lose. So quit the name calling ninja4hire and get a job. Go Steelers!

Oh snap!

What is this? The “5000” usernames got each others backs?

I have a job, it’s keeping folks in check when they cross the “fan” line and say that the Steelers are going to have a loosing season, that’s not a fan, it’s a commentator. I’m a fan, I root for the team and always have the belief that they’re going to win a super bowl. I don’t need or want someone trying to drag down spirits with “logic and stats” The human factor is what is important to me, and the humans/machines we have are pissed that they didn’t go to the playoffs last year. Therefore, we will make a super bowl run in the grandest of fashions.

Buuuut…. I don’t want a fight with anyone so I’m sorry for name calling webster5225. Thanks for keeping me in check 5020…if that is your real name.

I always like to start the season optimistically

What the hell… so far we’re undefeated!

I think we win ugly Sunday 13-9.

I already ran down my season prediction in Phanta’s post. I’m going with my heart and saying 11-5 — AFC North Champions and in the playoffs.

I think the Ravens defense lets them down more times this year than ours did last year. I think Flacco has a statistically better season this year, but loses more games.

I think Carson Palmer eventually loses control of Batman and Robin, and they implode before season’s end. But it’s all cool, because they let him come on their reality show, which is all they really care about anymore, anyway…
