WSJ article on offensive line quality in pass protection
Check out: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703791904576076073115191158.html
The guy used video tape from all passing plays and ranked each lineman against his counterparts on the remaining playoff teams. Pouncey ranks #2 behind Matt Birk (BAL), but the analysis has Scott listed as the second best Steeler lineman in pass protection. Something funny going on here...
In any case, the analysis, if even roughly right, does highlight the secret of Brady's success. His offensive line is far and away the best in the NFL, with the Ravens a distant second. The Steelers rank next-to-last ahead of (surprisingly) the Falcons.
Let's hope the analysis is wrong or that the Steelers play well beyond their historical averages. I am very worried that the Ravens, with better offensive and defensive lines, are going to have the upper hand on Saturday...

Oh you thought Brady was a GREAT QB? Check his QB rating compared to Ben when he is forced out of the pocket, or after contact is made.
If he has perfect protection he can dominate, but so could Bernie Kosar/
Compare his ability in the pocket to Ben's ability in the pocket.
Sorry but Brady is clearly the better player. He requires different personnel around him than Ben but all teams build offenses around their QB and comparing the strongest aspect of Ben’s game and the weakest aspect of Brady’s and ignoring the rest is ridiculous.
When I need hard-hitting NFL analysis, I turn to the Wall Street Journal....
I would kill everyone in this room for a drop of sweet beer.

don't we all?
"How utterly ridiculous is it that James Harrison makes a football act and gets fined $75,000, and Richard Seymour, despite whatever happened to provoke him, slugs a player on national TV in full view of the cameras and knocks him to the ground -- and gets fined $25,000. Weak. Very weak." -Peter King

um
Mr. Alamar decided to ignore running plays to focus on passing plays.
pretty much invalidates the whole thing for me
The beatings will continue
until morale the offensive line improves!

Awful
Nick Mangold probably the best center in the league ranked among the worst? Please. Even if it is just about pass protection that can’t be right.
silly
THe only thing I agree with is the Steelers low ranking. Ravens are bottom third in sacks allowed, middle of the pack in run per carry. Falcons near the top in running and pass protection. Not sure how he is grading things, but seems like he know not what he do.
Oh, and it does not take an expert to conclude that J Scott is not very good at all.
