Hump Day Mix: Media Week (steers and jeers) Edition

Well it’s that favorite time of the week…Ladies and Gents, "Hump Day"! As always faithful followers of the HDM mixery, Arnie slamma jamma and yours truly DJ Dub Sleazy give you what you want…the breakdown of the little green monsters, the eye candy and what to look forward to for this week’s media "Dog and Pony" show…now let’s get to the jump shall we?

PixburghArn:  Man did I sleep well last night.  After I could calm down enough to go to sleep of course.  It’s almost surreal that we are in the big game again.  I guess it’s sort of because of the way the season started.  Anyhow, it won’t be a rough 2 weeks for me because I’m going to be busy.  It’s great to be here again and beat such a mouthy opponent.

Webslasher81: Give me a minute…this is all I need…I would first like to start off by saying that I didn’t spend watching the AFCC in the bar…I had and still have a cold/and a upper respiratory infection, I spent about 80% of the game in a Nyquil self induced coma…lapsing in and out of consciousness. From what I did see the final 20% was pure hallucination or was it? Were back in the big dance and I love every minute of it…is it just me or did the NFL cheapen the AFCC trophy? I don’t care I guess…but all I want is that damn Lombardi.

How about those predictions from the AFC Championship game?

PixburghArn: Ok I predicted the Jets would try to run the ball all day even if not successful.  They did.  I said they would try to loosen the defense up by throwing deep to Edwards.  They did.  Then again these are really no brainers if you pay any attention to the Jets.  I said the offense would be wide open and that Miller and the speed would be too much for the Jets.  Turns out Rush-Hard was too much for them.  I also said it wouldn’t be close in the end.  I still feel it shouldn’t have been but hey what can I say?  I said it would be 31-10.  For a long time in this game, this is where it was headed.

Webslasher81: I predicted that the game would be a blowout 20-7, it was, up until the end of the 3rd quarter when the J-E-T-S decided to try and "man" up. Mixed in we played a little "softer" on defense knowing we had the game wrapped up, I didn’t like that. (I saw the replay coverage ala Hulu while at home today.) For one reason only if we have a lead like this against Green Bay we need to hit them harder and deeper where it hurts so that we don’t have another scare like we did in SB XLIII (not to say I was scared we had plenty of time on the clock and pulled it out in the end, you know what I mean though guys lol!). I said BB would have a big game and the "D" would step up, numbers don’t lie…were a whole different breed when it comes to the playoffs…and I love every minute of it. I feel Coach Dad will have something worked up for the Packers when it’s all said and done…

Predictions for this week?

PixburghArn: I predict lots of Super Bowl coverage for the Steelers.

Webslasher81: I predict that as well Arnie, also how the media will try and play the suck up role to BB and his off the field b/s. I also predict that the AFC will beat the NFC 20-19 not that it really matters…Side note: another prediction, I feel that Mendy will be "humping" his way onto the dance floor this whole week (minus the booze) at the Dallas night clubs lol! (Thanks Arn for the video…I laughed so hard…b/c I missed it the first time…I literally coughed up a lung!)

What about those predicted standouts from last week?

PixburghArn: I said Farrior would come up big.  I don’t know if you could say he was a standout, but he did have some big plays and hits. My other standout wasn’t close.  I said Sanders would come up big.  If Ben throws the ball a little further and less to the middle of the field, I would have something to stand on.  Rush-Hard was the man by far though.

Webslasher81: I said that Taz and Wood would combo sack Sancheez’s lunch, and although they didn’t do as I predicted (as much stats guys lol!), I feel that they and the rest of the "D" played a awesome game. I also said that BB would be a stud against the J-E-R-K-S, well although he threw two picks, I was one yard off from his rushing total. The stats were quite underestimating when it came to QB rating (what was it like 33 or 35%) BB was BB "clutch’ as usual, and I would expect nothing less of the big man that I am always proud to call my QB.

Predicted Standouts for this week?

PixburghArn:  Pouncey will be the standout.  Everyone is going to be wondering what’s going on with him.

Webslasher81: I agree Arn, but then again I don’t question this kid’s toughness he will take a few pointers out of Hines’s playbook and make a speedy recovery…

Random Thoughts:

PixburghArn: I said this before but I want to remind you all.  For Christmas I got a $50 Dick’s Sporting Goods gift certificate.  The last time I got one of those was Christmas 2008.  When I got it I immediately said I am going to save this to buy a Super Bowl Champs shirt and hat.  I was tempted to buy things in the meantime.  I almost bought an AFC Champions hat with it, but I held out.  Back to this Christmas.  When I opened the card and saw it I said we are going to win the Super Bowl.  I am going to use this for the shirt and hat again.  It’s still in my wallet and I’m not buying an AFC Champions hat with it.

Webslasher81: That’s awesome Arn! I think Keisel’s beard has a can of Chuck Norris whoop-ass ready to pop off against the Packers. That beard is beautiful…I wish I could grow one…I would pay $100.00 dollars to have a lock sent to me so I can make a sweet necklace out of it! Mr. Bean can we please start up a Keisel beard "Locks that Rocks" donation fund for BTSC? Lol.

Cheerleaders of the week:

PixburghArn:  I always give my friends from the redskins a shout when I can.  So I give you my girl Anna.

And I want to give a shout out to the squad I’ve grown to love almost as much as the Skins’ squad. Don’t know her name but she has a nice smile.

Webslasher81: You get me everytime Arn…you got that "Swag" my man…well since Arnie gave you 2, I’ll give you 2…I’m a sucker for those girls down in FLA. Here once again is Tampa Bay’s very own…Lisa, Ashlee, and Nikki…a lovely trifecta.

And, here is one more from Miami…meet, Kristi…

International hostess of the week:

PixburghArn:  I am truly international.  Y’all need to recognize.  Back in my very early drinking days I used to drink a girly drink called "Singapore Sling".  Now let me introduce my lovely girlie Pilar Arlando from Singapore.

Webslasher81: Arn once again you are a master of the craft…amazing! Well I’m off to Greece…here is the lovely…Miss Greece Ria Antoniou.

Well kids this wraps up another HDM hizzy house mix…I hope you all have enjoyed, stay tuned faithful followers of the Hump, when Arn, myself and 6 (in spirit…get back to us brudda!) Break down our stairway to "7" mix against the Packers of Green Bay…
