Hey guys, pardon the relative paucity of posts today as I prepare to leave for Dallas tomorrow morning. I'll be back at it hard and heavy from Big D starting tomorrow night, but count on a few more posts here a bit later.
For now, a quick note on a tremendous accomplishment by one of the Pittsburgh Steelers. All Pro safety Troy Polamalu has been named the 2010 Defensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press. Polamalu beat out Green Bay's Clay Matthews (2nd) and teammate James Harrison (3rd) for the honor. Polamlau, who picked off 7 passes and finished with 63 tackles, became the sixth Steelers defender to take home the hardware. Outstanding stuff.
More on Polamalu's incredible '10 season, as well as how the voting shook out a bit later. For now, a hearty Steeler Nation sized congratulations to No. 43 on the impressive achievement.
Go Steelers!
