I have watched enough football this year to really dislike the leadership of the NFL and it's Stormtroopers (officials).  I thought about doing a Star Wars themed poast to express my feelings, but what I really feel is anger every time a hit comes and my immediate thoughts (here comes the flag to kill a great play) are realized. I know that's a run on!  Do get me started.  Never mind I'm already started.

Well that anger was not Star Wars anger.  All I could think of was Public Enemy.  I remember their music and videos were to educate on the injustices of previous generations.  They said in their music that it's not meant to be racist.   I am not writing this post to debate that, nor am I here to push their agenda.  I'm not even validating Public Enemy's anger towards "the powers that be."  I am however using their videos as visual expression of my disdain for the NFL "Powers that be".

Watching these reminds me how funny Flava Flave "the originator of the Hip Hop hype man" was.  Yeahhhhh boooyeee!

I'm telling the players to Fight the Power!

"The powers that be" keep saying they're protecting the players.  They say all of this is for the good of the game.   After all the fines go to good use.  I say Don't believe the hype!

The rules about catches and helmet to helmet contact are supposed to be clear and not subject to "personal" interpretation.  It's that way so that they are uniform.  You can't interpret rules at your own whim and determine the outcome of a game because you think you are the man.  One man breaks up a pass and you call a penalty then the next guy knocks someone out with a helmet to helmet hit and you don't call a thing.  The man (officials) are after us.  You can't Truss it!

The only way to remedy this is to disregard all the rigmarole and just play football.  Let the refs do what they do and we do what we do.  Just Shut 'em down!
