The Post Gazette reported this afternoon that Ryan Clark was fined $40,000 for the hit he was penalized for on Sunday night. In addition to Clark, Tomlin, Ben and other Steelers are "furious" over this decision. A very simple, and sincere question. (I acknowledge that I am not exactly an unbiased, honest broker in this regard); given the continuing pattern of fines, and also, the seemingly biased distribution of penalties in the last game, is it possible that there exist conscious or unconscious prejudice directed toward the Steelers originating in the League offices and refected in the action of game officials? And if so, given the fact that what the players, coaches and front office could do publicly is severely limited without suffering some sort of corporate retribution, what can we as fans, but more importantly as consumers do about this? Or do you just think that I'm making alot about a little, or nothing?
