NFL looking to fine James Harrison for game time "tweeting"
Sources inside NFL headquarters reported today that the NFL is considering fining James Harrison for his "twitter" message during last night's game. The NFL prohibits players "ON THE ACTIVE ROSTER" from the use of electronic messaging devices within certain timeframes before, during and after NFL games. The rule has no language or distinction for player who are under suspension. This would be the first time an NFL player is sanctioned under the rule while not being in the stadium or city where the game is played. A first offense fine for violating this rule is typically $5000.
The NFL official, who declined to be named, stated the NFL may also look to add this violation to Harrison's repeat offender status, which may lead to another game suspension.

Didnt he tweet during a blackout when the NFL was devising a re-scheduling of the game……I thought the rule was to keep players at the stadium off of phones and social media?

I made the joke to my friend during last night's game he would get fined for tweeting.
Still waiting to see this guy’s source, but it would suck if my joke were to become reality.

if it is true
We can be certain that everyone outside of Steeler Nation will say Harrison is dumb, a repeat offender, and rate him more dirty than actual dirty players even if they know how incredibly stupid and unfair a suspension would be for something like this.

If a player on suspension...
…is not allowed onto team facilities, is kept from travelling with team, and is otherwise prevented from having any contact with team in football related basis, how in the world can they justify fining Harrison for tweeting from his living room. If they actually go through with this, it will be yet another brick in the conspiracy wall.

Players on Suspension
Are not on the active roster for that game they are inactive and there for aren’t subject to the rules against social media. It is no different then Baron Batch who is on IR tweeting during game day.

It wouldn't surprise me
I think Godell would use any excuse to keep Harrison out for another game or to make him pay another fine.
Harrison's problem
Is a lot like most peoples’ problems. That problem is once youve been judged or labeled it sticks and youre punished more severely for further mistakes. Take note of the word “repeat offender” and policies such as zero tolerance as they relate to player conduct and understand what wrongs are involved with each.

YOU SUCK! Turn out the lights, the parties over. That is all!
ps. when I retire, your ass is mine.
I could see Goodell stooping even further.
After all, he did fine Polamalu a pretty penny for talking to his wife. The same pretty penny that they fined a player for flicking off the stands.
The situation we find ourselves in is so ridiculous and far-fetched that I truly can't tell if this is for real or not.
I mean it certainly sounds crazy, but I can’t just scoff at it and say “haha yeah right”. I mean they already nailed Troy for calling his wife this year. They already suspended James Harrison for football plays this year.

Unfortunately the ludicrous things weve seen happen to the Steelers should prompt more ridiculous and obvious fictional accounts. This is very believable because its just as stupid as stories like troy getting fined for using a phone and everything else weve witnessed over 2 seasons. “Harrison abducted by aliens” would be the exaggeration to reveal the joke. But what is stated here seems like business as usual for treatment of the Steelers.

If he went to Twitter and aired his grievances, it’d be a different story, but what he said was obviously a joke, and funny enough it got play around the national media.
Even Goodell could laugh at that one.
You presume he has a funny bone...
…when his actions indicate no internal skeletal system at all, merely an outer exoskeleton, much like a cockroach.

If you wanna be known as the baddest man in the league today.
U gotta know the ruler of all that is NFL is gonna come down harshly. You expect it and laugh at it. We laugh at you Roger Goodell……hahahha
I still think when James, career is done and he is officially retired and out of the league. I think the commish is gonna get a visit from Mr. Harrison. Sure James may get a fine after the meeting, but the fine will be the smallest one, Harrison has gotten from his dealing with Goodell. I like to envision James repeatedly kicking him in the ass as he tries to get away. I doubt James would have to do any time, especially if done in the right city.
James doesn’t want to injure nobody, he just likes to hurt them.
Should rename hisself Leroy Brown. Baddest man in the whole damn town.
When does the League announce its fines for the week?...
…or do they skip this week since Harrison was suspended and didn’t play?

Wow I guess they really did fine him
