BTSC Steelers Six Pack: Clock Ticking on 2011 Edition
IX - Thankfully the Steelers will enter their second of two matchups with the Cleveland Browns in much better shape injury-wise than they were in the first meeting, as well as when the two old rivals played in October of 1964. Only LaMarr Woodley appears likely to miss the final regular season contest due to injury.
X - If there ever were a week to head out to a watering hole or elsewhere that has Sunday Ticket, this weekend qualifies. Obviously we'd like to be able to watch both the Steelers-Browns game and the Ravens-Bengals matchup concurrently. But from the look of it, not many markets outside of the direct region will see either game, as Denver's 'win-and-in' game against the Chiefs is shown in most markets across the country. Here's your NFL Week 17 TV Distribution Map.
XIII - Sports Illustrated has filed its Top NFL stories of 2011. There was the lockout, a certain Hall of Fame quarterback that unexpectedly wasn't able to play a single down, Tebow-mania....any guesses as to what made the list?
XIV - All six of the Steelers Super Bowl trophies will be on display at the Carnegie Science Center through the weekend, including on New Year's Day. Fun opportunity to check out all the hardware if you're in or around the PGH area.
XL - For the final time this year, I submitted my responses about the Steelers upcoming game to the National Football Post's Friday Football Forecast. Many thanks to them for the opportunity to contribute this season.
XLIII - Definitely sounds like Hines Ward is going to get every opportunity in the world to get to 1,000 catches this coming Sunday. He's five shy heading into the final game of the regular season.

come over to my house please
I’ve got sunday ticket and the 4-kids are driving me nuts. On second thought maybe I should go out…looking for a solid game this Sunday from the D. Looks like enough reps for the “O” to stay clicking and then Batch time.
I work and pathology and in the morgue we have a couple of stiffs. I was thinking of taking one of the 85-yr old dude’s hammy and giving it to Woodley as a belated Christmas present.

Three things I'd like to see on Sunday.
1) No Ben between the sidelines.
2) Batch to Ward as a steady diet and Hines breaks 1,000 catches.
3) Mendy rushes for 100+ yards.
Not a bad list - include Pouncey on it
Also if Mendy is having a GREAT – let him rest after he reaches 1000 yards for the season. Give Clay a chance to show what he has to offer.
I like Clay from the little we've seen of him.
He’s a big dude who runs with good power. Could be a diamond-in-the-rough.
I'm hoping. We need that "big" power back
I am not belittling the skills of Mendy or Redman though. For some reason, we have not fared well on “3rd and short”. It could have something to do with our OL or play calling also.

One of the weeks I’m truly thankful to live equidistant from Baltimore and Philly. Getting Steelers on Philly CBS and Ravens on Balt CBS. Go Steelers!
