Not that it comes as any surprise to anyone at BTSC....
The Post Gazette reported late Tuesday that Hall of Famer and Defensive Coordinator Dick LeBeau just returned from a golf vacation in North Carolina and told them he'll be back for 2011.
Here's the money quote:
"I'm not coaching anywhere but here," LeBeau said today after returning from four days off to start getting ready for the NFL combine that begins Feb. 23 in Indianapolis.
The story notes that the Steelers prefer to sign their coaches to two-year contracts, but Coach Dad prefers one year deals. So a one-year deal it will be.
I guess when you're that old, you don't buy green bananas. (jk)
So much for all that breathless garbage before the Super Bowl about him going to Arizona or wherever.
This also means that Mike Tomlin won't have to take off a day of work so as not to have a certain conversation with Mr LeBeau. At least not this year.
No surprise, but great news anyway!
