Arians to sign one year contract to remain at OC
Yeehaw! The battle between Arians' haters and lovers can continue on for at least another year. I, personally, am disappointed...while Arians isn't all that bad I would like to see someone else get a shot for I think we could do better, however, we could certainly do worse. I'm pretty on the fence about it.
This move is especially interesting to me because it is only for a single year. The ownership continues to show that they don't have complete faith in him but clearly show that they like some aspects of his game. Does Lebeau's, more then likely, one year continuation have any impact on this decision? Anyway you slice it, the one year deal raises some eyebrows.

i wanted him gone so we can stop blaming him for our problems.
the hate seems to have declined, but honestly i doubt it will ever be gone completely. honestly i dont know if there is anyone that would do that much better of a job out there.
yea
a OC who has won a SB and appeared in another…Todd Haley got a job for just showing up to one SB

Keep Arians
He is only going to get better with a better OL next year, more polished receivers, and another year of smarts for Ben
Consistency, consistency

Consistency
We arent a losing team who needs to change things up. Keep the same system, keep the same coaches, just allow the players to continue to grow in the system they already know
A long way from Pittsburgh PA, in fact, 8653.2 miles to be precise. My blood still bleeds black and gold like the rest of Steeler Nation, proud fan since 2002.
BTSC's token Kiwi fan. That means I'm a New Zealander. Yes, that small country next to Australia....no we are not part of Australia

With the CBA uncertainty
this move makes sense. However, hopefully one of the conditions was he improve his situational play-calling. His offenses have been productive and we did see some creativity this season…hope we see more improvement next year
Things can always be worse....
On the fence you say?
Me too. I don’t think BA is doing a bad job, but I think we can make better use of our talent. That being said, how much of his design is around Ben’s strengths? I think we should be able to open up the O this year now that Brown and Sanders have the experience. We should keep ARE and cut Battle and Sweed. and we are ready to roll!
"I personally don't subscribe to that hocus-pocus. What happened in the other games will have no bearing on the outcome of this game. Each individual performance stands on its own. We're not buying into that."
Mike Tomlin - When asked about beating the Ravens three times in one season in 2008-2009 season.
Keeping Sweed around this long certainly shows the FO and Coaches are willing to give Sweed one more chance to get over the hump. I’m pulling for him
