According to Adam Schefter Mike Tomlin has told Suzy Kobler that Maurkice Pouncey did not practice today and has been ruled out for the big game.  Well that is the news we all did not want to hear, but we figured was coming.  Two weeks is too short of a turnaround for how nasty that injury looked against the Jets.  I would have been weary of him playing at less than 100% when the Steelers have Doug Legursky as a suitable back up.

Speaking of Doug Legursky, how lucky are we to have two competent centers on the team this league?  I believe with a full two weeks of practicing with the first team that him and Ben Roethlisberger will be able to get on the same page with snaps.  I hope that we do not see any wasted plays or safeties on bad snaps!

Anyway, you have to respect the tenacity of Pouncey.  Even with a severe ankle injury he tried to be there for his team.  That is a Steeler attitude.  I hope he can heal up quickly and be a beast again next year.
