Around SBN: Indy 500: 'Greatest Spectacle In Racing' Set For Sunday

Top Superbowl Commercial on NFL Channel...

... as it seems to me, was sponsored by the expert commentators of the NFL channel itself.

Which tag phrase did you hear the most;

1) Aaron Rodgers & the Packers

2) Dianna Ross & The Supremes

3) __________ & the Steelers

4) A R

Star-divide

It started becoming apparent to me around Thursday... Then came the Friday announcement that Pouncey was out...
After that it was, "AR this" and "AR that", "AR & the Pack", "Steelers will have to deal with AR", "AR will blah blah blah".  If I were a member of the Packers hearing all of this, I might get a bit annoyed that Green Bay suddenly had only a one man roster.

During the Green Bay "Playbook" shows, the only player mentioned more than once (maybe twice) was, you guessed it "Aaron Rodgers" - and now he is "A R".  It's starting to sound like a car model - The Nissan SL, Chevy SS, The Accord EX, Mustang GT... The Packer AR.   I could begin to imagine Theisman & company sneaking into the GB locker room and sniffing Rodger's atheletic supporter.  The "A R" thing is probably an affliction with the NFL commentator/experts - they can only pronounce QB names with 2 syllables... "A R", "Big Ben.......

I personally like Rodgers and his play.  But he hasn't won the Big One yet, didn't cure cancer, isn't more appealing than sliced bread (not to me at least) and didn't lead his team on a broken foot.

This all feels too much like Aaron Rodgers has the same PR agent as Tom Brady.  I hope for AR's sake, he does not have a horrible game - then all the jock sniffers will blame him for the brady-blisters thay have on their noses.

I guess the SB media is always attracted to the shiny new toy - oh no, we're not going to see a GI Aaron doll are we?

Meanwhile, this has aided Big Ben during Friday & Saturday - everyone has been so busy propping "A R", that #7 could forget the media prodding into the off-season topics and the less-than-vintage-Ben outings of SB XL & XLIII.  I don't remember Big Ben getting all this attention over "One Time SB appearance" Hasselbeck before SB XL - thus goes the jealous "Dis" nature the Steelers and the Steeler Nation must live with.  It's a good thing we have each other and our jewelry to keep us warm.

For the Steelers, let the calm before the storm muster up... the time is near.... the ore is in the furnace... the Steel bucket is swinging... and when the whisle blows... DOWN COMES THE MOLTEN STEEL CURTAIN !   Starring the HITSBURGH DEFENSE (#92 came up with this one).

HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO, ! !

Every time I see this picture

it just confirms that this man is superhuman. It defies the laws of physics to be that large and have your center of gravity be that low and balanced…. and it stays that way when he flies off the snap and gets into the backfield (usually dragging an OL with him).

The dude is amazing. It is my sincere wish, hope, prayer (call it whatever you’d like) for James Harrison to have a MONSTER game and walk away with the MVP.

A friend of mine photoshopped a picture back in October when all the fine stuff was out of control…. It’s James in the background with the “death stare” and Goodell in the foreground holding the Lombardi…. the caption is “You can take my *@$%ing money, but in February I’m coming for that Trophy”

How prophetic. Now TAKE THAT TROPHY Deebo!!!!

HERE WE GO STEELERS!
"Our Father, who art in Pittsburgh, Football be thy game. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, at Heinz Field as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, a stellar D and forgive us our bogus fines, as we (sorta) forgive Goodell who trespasses against us. And lead us not into defeat, but deliver us a Victory. For thine is The Steelers, the power and glory of climbing the STAIRWAY TO 7."

And if Deebo wants something

who’s willing to stand in his way? I guess we’ll find out today…

"If you're not getting better, I don't care what business you're in, you're a dead man. I try to look critically at the mistakes that I make and try to learn from them, like our team does." - Mike Tomlin

I'm up for Deebo taking...

…. “A R’s” head off, taking another INT to the EZ and taking the smile off of GODell’s face as he hoists the Lombardi in one hand & the MVP trophy in the other.

HERE WE GO DEEBO, HERE WE GO ! !

1BlkGldFan… find that pic and Fanpost it.

The Burgh - Been there, played the game, have the gameshirt.
