Mock Draft Advice

Hello Steeler Nation!

I am a contributing writer for the SB Nation Colts blog, Stampede Blue.  We, like many sites, are running a Community Mock Draft.  I have the Steelers as my team.  I know your season just ended (sorry about that) but the other 30 fan bases have been looking ahead for a few weeks now.

Right now we are doing the first round and may do the second as well if our readers stay motivated.  I'm looking for some advice on areas where I should be looking as "Steelers GM."  I'll give you a small bit of my take and you can tell me I'm way off base and insult me if you need to.  I would like your input on pick direction.

From the outside, I only got to see a couple of Steelers games this year.  My first thoughts on need would be O-Line depth.  I know your line system lets players come in and quickly learn and be productive (see Legursky, Doug).  Second on my list would be to add a Corner who is stellar in coverage.  With the freelancing that Polamalu does having "island" guys outside might be helpful.

Do you agree?  What kind of lineman do you look for?  Mauler, Speed, Smarts, Attitude?  Man Coverage in a corner? How much do the Rooney's factor in character when drafting (as a Colts fan, there are some players I can't have on my radar due to those restrictions)?

Thanks for your input and good luck next year (except when/if you play the Colts in the playoffs)!
