The players of the last 20 years you wish were Steelers. Defense

To take our minds off of the lockout/pissing match, it's time to see what players you wish played for the Steelers Defense. Same criteria as for the offense, which you can find here, except that there will be 12 players to accommodate a 4-3 or a 3-4.

Bruce Smith DE. 200 sacks, let that sink in for second then realize he played in a 3-4 for a good portion of his career that is an insane sack total.

Julius Peppers DE. He is a physical freak, he was a great two sport athlete at UNC, playing both Football and Basketball.

Ted Washington DT. A 350 pound moster that just blew up the middle of the offensive line, and he somehow managed to play at a high level until he was 39.

Warren Sapp DT. The nickname was very apt when he came into the league, The QB Killa. Having finished his career with 96.5 he was a force in the middle of line.

DeMarcus Ware OLB. The only current player in the NFL that I would trade one of our OLB for. Just annihilates LT on a consistant basis.

Lawrence Taylor OLB. Why ignore the obvious, changed how the game is played. Joe Gibbs invented the two TE offense and the H-Back to try and slow him down. Ok now to the elephant in the room, this guy is just insane but so are many players who played for the Steelers.

Ray Lewis MLB. If anyone says that they don't want him on their team, the are lying to you. Even though he is getting up their in years he is still playing at a very high level.

DeMeco Ryans MLB. A under the radar pick, but that is too be expected when you are the second round pick of the Texans the same year they drafted Mario Williams. Over his six year career his is averaging over 100 tackles in each year.

Champ Bailey CB. He takes away one side fo the field, and continues to do so even though he is 33.

Darrelle Revis CB. He takes away the other side of the field. Even though we missed drafting him by one pick, I can live with Lawerence Timmions.

Ed Reed FS. Again, if anyone says they don't want him on their team they are lying to you. He somehow manages to find his way to the ball and then proceeds to lateral it.

John Lynch SS. He would take your head off and then proceed to remove another part of your body later in the game. He also had a rush of 40 yards in his rookie year.

and there you have it, I think this team could do some real damage to the league.
