Trade our 1st round pick to Dallas for their 2nd, 3rd and a swap of our 7th round picks.
I am finally set in stone in what I want to happen in the draft:
Round 2 Pick 40: Martez Wilson, LB, Illinois
Round 2 Pick 63: Ras I Dowling, CB, Virginia
Round 3 Pick 71: John Moffit, OG, Wisconsin
Round 3 Pick 95: Kendrick Ellis, NT, Hampton
Round 4 Pick 127: Marcus Gilbert, OT, Florida
Round 5 Pick 159: Alex Henry, K/P, Nebraska
Round 6 Pick 191: Joe Lefeged, SS/FS/ST, Rutgers
Round 7 Pick 202: DeAndre Brown, WR, Southern Miss
So what do you guys think? I think this draft gives us the best value at each pick while filling all of our major needs:
2. Offensive Guard
3. Offensive Tackle
4. Nose Tackle
5. Kicker and Punter
And also gives us a luxury pick in Martez Wilson that will be able to fill any of the four LB positions (depending on when Farrior retires or if we want him to be an OLB, then we could choose not to resign Woodely long term, or if we cant resign Timmons long term). It also gives us a great special teams player in Joe Lefeged who has a ton of potential at either safety spot and gives us a low risk high reward pick in DeAndre Brown.
