For some time now it´s been one of my biggest dream to get to make the trip from Uruguay and see a few games in Pittsburgh, but Money, Distance and Work have made it almost impossible.

Even nowadays it looks almost impossible to make that dream become true, but with my cousin and another big friend (the three of us huge steelers fans) last year we started dreaming big and planning this trip.

When all the lockout mess strarted we saw our dream getting pushed at least one year, but yesterday when the schedule was released and we saw that for the dates we were planning the games are against the Patsies and ratbirds at home, and the bungles at Cinci we started dreaming again.

We still have some difficulties to overcome (mostly raising the money) but we plan to make it happen.

The idea would be to travel 15 days (Late october / Early november), 

What i would ask from you guys is some help in planning our trip, share any tips you may have to help three Black and Gold fans to achieve this great dream.

Where is the best area to stay? Near Heinz Field? Downtown?

Do you happen to know price ranges?

Buying Tickets

Where is the best place to buy tickets? Maybe online?

When should we start looking for tickets in order to make sure that we get three?

Are places like Stubhub.com good places to buy tickets?

Car Rental

Should we rent a car for the days when we will be in Pittsburgh? Or is it ok to use public transportation?

Do you know any good place to rent a car?

Where to eat

I know Primantti´s is a must... but.... what other good places should we get to know?

Where to go in Pittsburgh

Which places in Pittsburgh we must visit?

Do we have to pay for an entrance in those places?

Places to go near Pittsburgh

We want to use some weekdays to visit other places near Pittsburgh, for example one idea is to visit the Hall of fame in Canton.

What other places near Pittsburgh should we visit (no need to be football related)

How long would be the drive to get there?

Any other tips, maybe for tailgating or whatever you want to share will be really welcome.... please help this three black and gold fans :)
