I'm all mocked out

As you all know, I recently finished my final 2011 mock draft of the year. It has been a long 3 to 4 months of watching film, analyzing film, figuring out each team's needs, finding out each GM's drafting style (including but not limited to the age of the prospects they draft, the type of players, the character, and BPA vs. need), and more. I now will leave you with my final pre-draft post of the year (I will have multiple posts out within a week following the draft analyzing each pick, previewing their impacts, and predicting the 2011-2012 season). This post is meant to analyze a given scenario and see what it leaves us with. You will get it by the end

In the 2011 draft, the Steelers picks are Brandon Harris, Marcus Gilbert, John Moffit, Robert Sands, Rob Housler, Kris Duhram (he is a 6'3" WR in-case you don't know who he is), and Marc Schiechl (OLB from an incredibly small school). Obviously this would not be our ideal scenario (for someone it might be) but it leaves us with 7 very talented players that could eventually contribute to our organization. But where exactly would these players fit in for 2011-2012. Lets see.

Who do we resign?

Chris Hoke, Nick Eason, Shaun Shuisham, LaMarr Woodley, Ike Taylor, Willie Colon, Doug Legursky, Keyron Fox, Ryan Mundy, Dennis Dixon, Tony Hills, Limas Sweed

Who do we let go?

Jonathon Scott, William Gay, Matt Spaeth, Anthony Madison, Trai Essex, Jeremy Kapinos

That leaves us with only 6 open roster spots, of which I think 1 will be filled through FA

Which brings us down to 5 open roster spots

Which rookies make the roster?

Brandon Harris, Marcus Gilbert, John Moffit, Robert Sands, Rob Housler

Would the 2 rookies who don't make the roster make the PS?

Probably yes. Both of these players are relatively under the radar and could likely make it to the PS without being claimed off waivers.

Would they ever make the squad?

I think Durham would compete with Sweed as the potential replacement to Hines Ward. That means one would end up being cut or end up as the #5. I think Sweed is more likely to become the #1 which would leave Durham as a very talented #5. He would probably end up leaving within 3 years in this scenario. Schiechl could become a very good OLB. He has a lot to work on but if he is coached right I could see him becoming our next pro-bowl OLB. So he will end up making the NFL roster IMO.

What would our roster look like for 2011-2012?

These are listed in the order they would be playing (so the 3rd CB listed would be the nickel)

QB: Big Ben, Dixon, Batch, Leftwich

RB: Mendy, Redman, Dwyer

TE: Miller, Housler, Johnson

WR: Ward, Wallace, Sanders, Brown, Randel-El, Battle

LT: Starks, Gilbert, Hills

LG: Kemo, Legursky, Moffit

C: Pouncey, Legursky

RG: Colon, Moffit, Legursky

RT: Adams, C.Scott, Hills

DE: Smith, Kiesel, Hood, Eason

NT: Hampton, Hoke, Harris

OLB1: Deebo, Timmons

OLB2: Woodley, Worilds

ILB1: Timmons, Foote

ILB2: Farrior, Sylvester, Fox

CB: Taylor, Butler, Harris, BMAC, Lewis

FS: Clark, Mundy

SS: Polamalu, Sands, Allen

K: Shuisham

P: Sepulveda

What would you think about this roster? Who would you change in the resignings? How would you rate that draft (1-10 with 1 being the worst)?
