Which brings to light THE important question for 2011 free agency in Steeltown
How much will the late start after the draft will have hurt Colbert’s usual stellar UFA and undrafted FA collection?

That’s the 100 dollar question.
My guess is it will not change much, as everyone else is in the same boat. However, if the rumors about other teams goign ahead and contacting those UFA’s are true, that could be another story.
Truthfully, as the lockout was temporarily lifted a few days before the draft, I don’t see why the NFL didn’t allow teams to sign rookie free agents….
