My daughter just rang me up to say that she had a dream I had to hear about. It began as the usual anxiety-type dream - there was a hungry tiger trying to get into the house she and her family were in, and they couldn't find a room without jammed open windows, etc. Then a bunch of school children walked by outside, and she was afraid that the tiger would eat the children as well.
Just then the Dallas Cowboys walked up, and she was relieved, thinking that they would deal with the tiger, but they didn't seem interested in helping. But finally true assistance arrived. The Steelers, led by Troy, came in the house and assured her that everything was under control. (I'm guessing that the tiger fell over dead when James Harrison looked directly at it. Or perhaps Isaac Redman put a leash around its neck and made a pet out of it, like a latter-day St. Francis...)
My daughter then told Troy "Oh my gosh, my mom is your biggest fan!!!" Troy gave her a puckish look and said "Is she really my biggest fan?" (My daughter said it was like when you would ask your teacher if you could go to the bathroom, and the teacher would say "I don't know, can you?") She then amended her statement to "My mom is your greatest fan!!!" (I was really happy to hear that Troy didn't correct that statement as well...)
Troy asked her if they were coming to see the Steelers play the Cowboys, and her husband chimed in that, as a cop, he doesn't make that kind of money. Troy said that he could take care of that, and just as he was about to reveal all of the awesome swag that he was going to present them with - presumably tickets, signed jerseys, and so on, her son walked in and woke her up. Big disappointment for all of us : )
I realize that other people's children's dreams aren't the most fascinating subject ever, but given how true to life this one was (other than, perhaps, the tiger,) I thought you all might enjoy it...
