Load of crap
This latest attempt to rewrite history and trash the Steelers' fine tradition is beneath contempt. Noll platooned Bradshaw with other QBs frequently during his early years in the NFL. Bradshaw has even said that, at one point, he was convinced that Noll was trying to ruin his career. But TB took the high road and waited for his opportunities. On the other hand, Gilliam went into the tank and got a reputation as a troublemaker. It had absolutely nothing to do with race. Gilliam was popular in Pittsburgh; lots of fans thought he deserved to be the starting QB.
