Season and Playoff Predictions

This is my take at the season predictions and how the playoffs will play out. First, I want to state a fact.

  • For the past 12 seasons, 5 teams that made the playoffs the year before did not make the playoffs the next year.

I learned that today and it shocked me but after researching it, it is true. Therefore, we have to eliminate 5 our of the following 12 teams.

  • Steelers, Ravens, Jets, Patriots, Colts, Chiefs
  • Eagles, Saints, Falcons, Seahawks, Bears, Packers

My predictions will reflect eliminating 5 of those teams. I think the easiest ones to eliminate are the Chiefs and the Seahawks. Both teams are due for some serious regression this year. Anyways, here are my predictions. The wins are totalled to 256 wins and 256 losses

AFC North

AFC East

AFC South

AFC West

Total AFC Record: 126 Wins, 130 Losses

NFC North

NFC East

NFC South

NFC West

Total NFC Record: 130 Wins, 126 Losses

Total NFL Record: 256 Wins, 256 Losses

Five Teams that missed playoffs: Chiefs, Jets, Saints, Bears, Seahawks

  • Chiefs: took advantage of an easy schedule and will have a much tougher time this year
  • Jets: Lost two key WRs and Shaun Ellis. Will have to rely on rookies at DE and WR which could cause them to struggle
  • Saints: Losing Reggie Bush will hurt more than people think. It will be much easier to gameplan for their offense without him
  • Bears: No Offensive Line and got rid of Greg Olsen. Will struggle with a tougher schedule this year
  • Seahawks: Lost Matt Hasselbeck and will have to start Tavaris Jackson this year which will cause them to struggle a lot
