I'll try to keep this as short and and to the point as I possibly can. We all know about the battle going on for the number 3 tight end spot. We all know about Heath Miller and what he is to the team and what he could do. He's a tight end who really does it all (block, catch, etc.)but is very underrated, and perhaps even underused in my opinion. We also have David Johnson who is more of a fullback type. We really need a blocking tight end behind Miller after Matt Spaeth has signed with the Chicago Bears this off season. In my opinion no one has really shown up. So if I were the coaches, I would sign the best receiving tight end we have (in my opinion that would be Weslye Saunders who has repeatedly shown he could get separation.) in case Miller goes down and use an extra offensive lineman. Maybe Trai Essex who has played tight end before. If we really need a blocker just use an extra offensive lineman. This way we get an all around tight end, a receiving tight end, a blocker and David Johnson stays in his fullback position. What say you?
