Bengals WR Jordan Shipley Out For Season

Stay connected for news and updates

The Cincinnati Bengals Tweeted Monday that WR Jordan Shipley has a torn ACL in his right knee, and will be placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

Shipley caught a five-yard pass in Sunday's 24-22 loss to Denver, and was hit hard by Broncos DB Cassius Vaughn

Shipley had three catches for 15 yards at that point in the game.

The Bengals will be without the second-year man from Texas, who was a part of what is turning into a rather explosive young passing attack in Cincinnati. Jerome Simpson and A.J. Green both had 100 yard receiving games in Week 2, and rookie QB Andy Dalton had 332 yards along with two touchdown passes in the loss.

Dalton is off to a surprising start, throwing four touchdowns and no interceptions in his first two games.

The Bengals (1-1) are tied at the top of the AFC North, along with the other three teams in the division. Their home opener is Sunday against San Francisco.
