Is Bryant McFadden in danger? Food for thought

How many and who we keep at CB is anyone's guess right now.  My question is this, many fans say keep Donovan Warren over Cortez Allen or Willie Gay.  I understand their arguments and agree with pieces of them, but the same logic can be applied to McFadden with different stronger reasons.  McFadden is a good tackler, but is not good in coverage and has been abused the last two years (one in Arizona).  If we are going to accept marginal talent opposite Ike, why use McFadden, at $2.5 mil when he realistically has peaked in his development.  Start Keenan Lewis with Ike, and see if the extra playing time assists in development.  Wilie Gay is a decent nickel back until Curtis Brown or someone else can beat him.  Now, I do not see this happening, but Willie Gay is the much cheaper veteran option and would allow the Steelers to keep Lewis, Warren, Brown and Allen.

With that said, I see Warren being cut over the rookies.  I thought Cortez Allen's body control and ball skills were impressive for an inexperience rookie, and that saves him.  Brown is a 2nd rounder and a look to make the team, and Keenan Lewis is the closest to game ready we have for our younger corners.
