Bengals LB Keith Rivers was given a roster exemption through Week 6 of the NFL season due to a wrist injury he's been battling through camp.
The Bengals can carry 53 players in addition to Rivers for the first six weeks of the season.
Also, G Bobbie Williams violated the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances, and has been suspended for the first four weeks of the season.
CB Pacman Jones joins Rivers on the PUP list, meaning he is also out for the first six weeks of the season.
If nothing else, at least the Bengals know Cedric Benson should be released from jail before Week 1, and could be ready to play (assuming he doesn't get himself thrown back in jail).
