Don't forget to set your fantasy football lineups and enter your picks for the BTSC Pick Em League or any other contests you're involved in this season. To a few Friday links.
IX - Dale Lolley likes the Steelers to narrowly lose to the Texans on Sunday; Steelers Lounge previews the Week 4 matchup as well. If the Steelers do win, they'll have to do so without the services of Doug Legursky, Jonathan Scott and Brett Keisel, who have all been ruled out of Sunady's game.
X - Chuck Noll Way is officially named near Heinz Field Friday morning in honor of the four-time Super Bowl winning coach of the Steelers. Unfortunately, Mr. Noll wasn't able to attend the ceremonies, which I hope isn't an indication of Coach Noll's health.
XIII - Each week I'll be contributing to the National Football Posts' Friday Football Forecast, a series where beat writers and a few lowly bloggers submit a few paragraphs about our team's upcoming game -- 'Key Injuries', the 'X-Factor', and 'Don't be surprised it...' Check out the Week 4 edition published today.
XIV - Want to win a trip to this year's Super Bowl? Live outside the Pittsburgh market? If you answered yes to both, then check out DirectTV's 'Ultimate Displaced Fan' contest. To enter you submit a written piece as well as an optional but encourage video or photo that best displays your extreme dedication and the difficulties that come with being a far-away fan. The winner earns the title of America's Ultimate Displaced Fan as well as tickets to the Super Bowl. Not bad. I think I might enter in fact.
XL - Submit your photo or video on this dedicated website and you could be featured in ESPN's next 'It's not Crazy, it's Sports' segment, featuring one of the world's most famous props -- The Terrible Towel.
XLIII - And to round up the promos/contests, here's one I know some of you might have a chance to win based on having to find feeds to watch the game each week:
Unsportsmanlikeconduct: Huddling your team around one tiny TV for the big game. Winningtouchdown: Scoring an HD 3D projector for free. What's the game plan? ProjectorPeople.com is giving away an OptomaHD33 3D projector to the person who shows off the weakest game viewing setup.
The winnerwill blow his friends away with Optoma HD33's giant display image (up to 300inches - that's more than eight yards!) and bright, 1080p 3D images that'scurrently priced at $1,499.
