Is OL John Malecki First Steelers Practice Squad Addition?
Mark Kaboly of the Tribune-Review reported via Twitter G John Malecki is at the Steelers facility Sunday morning, "signing up for the practice squad."
That isn't confirmation, but if that is the case, Malecki, a Pittsburgh native and University of Pittsburgh product would be one of up-to-eight members of their practice squad.
Malecki initially signed with Tennessee as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He was released and spent the remainder of the year on the Browns practice squad.
There will be lots of moving and shaking today, and the Steelers 53 man roster may not be the same at the end of the day. This will be one of a flurry of moves, both for the Steelers and the rest of the league, after teams have a chance to evaluate all of the players available after Saturday's cuts to rosters of 53 players.
It isn't entirely accurate to say Saturday's deadline to cut rosters to 53 players is the team's "final" roster. Some teams cut down to 52 players and plan to pick up another team's castoffs. For example, Chicago signed free agent FS Brandon Merriweather to a one-year deal after they cut their team to 53.
Among many internal possibilities are CBs Crezdon Butler and Donovan Warren, WRs Tyler Grisham and Wes Lyons, OG Keith Williams, DT Anthony Gray, LB Mortty Ivy and TE Jamie McCoy.

interesting choice if true..
didnt think he showed much at all from what ive seen/heard. didnt see him on any of the mock PS squads
I’m not sure if there’s a less media-reportable position in football than a practice-squad level offensive lineman. If he was making an impact, we’d hear about him, but if he’s a PS kind of guy, we wouldn’t. I think Malecki fits in the second group.

I thought he had a pretty solid pre-season.. Good for Malecki.
HERE WE GO STEELERS!
"Our Father, who art in Pittsburgh, Football be thy game. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, at Heinz Field as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, a stellar D and forgive us our bogus fines, as we (sorta) forgive Goodell who trespasses against us. And lead us not into defeat, but deliver us a Victory. For thine is The Steelers, the power and glory of climbing the STAIRWAY TO 7."
for never having played center in his life
before he signed with the Steelers, he did pretty good there. Maybe the Steelers think he can be the new Legursky as a flexible interior line backup? I wouldn’t mind that. I just hope they still try to go after Keith Williams, who I think has potential.
