WIll David Garrard be THE Pittsburgh Steelers next backup QB? Could we afford him and would he settle for a backup role? He would like a  SB ring! Who better to get one with than the 6 time world champs! If you can't beat em join em! I personally think he would make a great backup for us in the mold of Charlie Batch and Byron Leftwich. Two  that were relatively successful as starting QBs for other teams but were willing to come to us as backups. The FO appeared ready to cut Dixon if they couldn't get a trade for him. That is until Byron was lost for the season.
