STEELERS 40 YEAR HALL OF FAME LEGACY
Starting in 1970 the Steelers started a legacy of Hall of Fame Players, that may not be duplicated in our life time.
Please allow me one assumption. That is, Jerome Bettis, Dermonti Dawson, Allan Fanaca, Hines Ward, Troy Polamalu and Ben Roethlisberger all make the Hall of Fame. Not really a stretch. Only 6 time All Pro Dawson does not have a at least one Super Bowl victory. Bettis and Fanaca have one and the others two. All are considered dominate at their position.
If these players make the Hall of Fame, then, the Steelers will have had at LEAST TWO Hall of Fame Players on their roster every year from 1970 through the year Troy Polamalu or Ben Roethlisberger retires.
To save you the math, that is at least 40 CONSECUTIVE seasons with at least two Hall of Fame Players on the roster.
Most clubs are happy to have two Hall of Fame players in any single year. Some do not have two Hall of Fame players in ten years.
The Steelers will have 16 Hall of Fame players over 40 years.
Amazing Steelers!

Wow.
Never pondered that one before! And the part you forgot? Chuck Noll, Art Rooney Sr., Dick LeBeau and Dan Rooney are all alongside those men in the HOF during the same time frames.
What’s even better is the distinct probability that Art Rooney II and Bill Cowher will join them as well.
And Bruce Arians, too. I mean, all that “Bubble Screen Innovation” made Sid Gillman shit his drawers, posthumously.

L.C. Greenwood
Still baffles me why Greenwood hasn’t been enshrined yet, it’s up to the Vets Committee now. All-Decade team, important part of that great defense, and played well in the big games versus other HOF players.
The newly retired(and Canton deserving) Jason Taylor reminds me of Greenwood. Both were tall and rangy, yet stronger than you would think. I would hope someone would push for Greenwood to be nominated via the veterans committee.
