Steamrolled by Patriots

This is what the offense and defense should have done. They should have killed tebow...

Poor Work by Defense and Arians.... Get healthy guys and also draft some young blood. Patriots defense is young but they have some discipline. See the way they rushed him and stuffed him. Awesome. Mcgahee could not even get some yards on Option plays. The play by Patriots reminded me 2004 AFC Championship where they scored 24 points in 1st quarter. Atleast we had Ben to make a comeback. Tebowwwww met his fate. Way too over rated.

I hate pats, but After denver has beaten us last week, i was seething with anger. I was waiting for them to be demolished and blown to pieces. Yahooooooooo...

Arians better not answer is phone

Tomlin should have called him at halftime and gave him his pink slip and gold watch.

Oh no.. I can’t do it. Go Houston. I’m more of a fan of the Talaban than I ever will be of Baltimore.

looking like a revenge season for pats

Payback time for all the teams who knocked them out in recent years.
Broncos from 05, next week ravens (09).

And the kicker? They beat the giants by the same score as 07 SB.

I will sacrifice a kidney to the football gods to prevent this!

Stay thirsty my friends.

AGREE

See my Post under “coaching Validation”

PITT is in trouble W/O talent upgrades in several areas AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, COACHING AND SCHEME UPGRADES!! This years Pitt team was at best mediocre; forget the “Defensive ranking” that means nothing given the schedule we played. This team would have gone 6-10 had we played the 2008 schedule with this team!!

PLEASE, FRONT OFFICE, REPLACE THE OC, MAYBE THE DC!! The NFL has changed!! Ben only has a precious few years left, likely less with this shitty OL we always have.Find the talent somewhere to plug the holes, fix the scheme, get some innovative coaching already, or I fear a losing campaign in 2012, and maybe God forbid, another 25 year wait to get SB #7!!!

I do agree with stefan, to a degree

OC MUST go! This Offense, with the personnel has underperformed, this cannot be disputed! Mendy should be used like a RR more, why not?? BB, wallace, Brown, miller are not getting the max use as they should. You mean to tell me that OC like norv turner or whiz would not get more from this team?? Plus, we all know that the O-line has been bad for awhile, especially when BB could not move as much..the time for half assed measures to finally fix this O-line should be over!! Brees, manning, rogers, brady all have better lines than BB and they are not getting punished day in and day out!

above

exactly, as above. Offense has issues obviously. please upgrade line thru draft AND FA. I think a stud LG would go a VERY long way, Foster or Leg may be OK at RG, maybe?? Needs a good LT thouggh as well, not sure Gilbeert is answer yet. Lord knows we could use a great second receiving TE ala Gronkoski!!

by stefan on Jan 15, 2012 10:48 AM EST reply actions

We potentially have a Gronkowski type TE already.

This. Heath Miller isnt quite the mismatch Gronkowski is, but he is badly underused in the passing game imo

I was actually referring to Saunders, if he pans out, and I think he will. He’s huge, with good feet and hands.
But Miller could be pretty damn good too if he didn’t have to block all the time.

Your last line sums up my thoughts. We need a better OLine so that Heath can stop being a 6th Lineman all the time.

Hey… wasn’t Marcus Gilbert drafted last year? Pouncey the year before? I’m pretty sure that fits in with the “reloading” philosophy. I’m also glad that a rookie isn’t tossed into the scrap heap after playing a pretty good 1st year, but didn’t make All-Pro.

TE

Agree, they use him (Heath) as blocker not receiver way too much, I guess they have to, what a waste.

Well

Either our injury situation was that bad or Belicheat is a lot better at creating a system to stop them.
