Rookie defensive tackle was arrested early Sunday morning in Allegheny County, Pa., on a list of charges stemming from allegedly driving while intoxicated, according to docket report.
Steelers rookie nose tackle Alameda Ta'amu was arrested for DUI, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest early Sunday in Allegheny County, Pa., two days after the Steelers lost its Week 6 game at Tennessee.
Steelers Depot linked the dockett report, which does not paint a great situation for the first-year player out of the University of Washington.
Ta'amu hasn't been activated for a game yet this season, and it's possible, whether he's found guilty of the charges or not, he could be suspended either by the league or the team.
Ta'amu hasn't made any significant news with the team since allegedly injuring his foot walking to Wal-Mart to pick up supplies for his teammates during training camp. The Steelers traded up in the fourth round to select the nose tackle, looking for an eventual replacement for veteran Casey Hampton.
To this point, and certainly if these charges are found to be true, Ta'amu's start in Pittsburgh has been a disappointment.
