Legursky will make the 15th start of his career Sunday, his 11th at center in lieu of Maurkice Pouncey, who's injured knee will likely hold him out of action.
Pouncey's leg was rolled on by a toppling right tackle Marcus Gilbert on the first play from scrimmage in the Steelers' 26-23 loss at Tennessee in Week 6. The Steelers fell to 2-3 on the season.
Gilbert was perhaps victim of Karmic retribution after having fallen on Pouncey - and rookie right guard David DeCastro in the preseason causing him to begin the year on the IR recall list - and he was reported to have left the facility Monday in a walking boot, strongly indicating he won't be available Monday either.
Gilbert's absence would give rookie Mike Adams his first career start.
Tribune Review reporter Mark Kaboly mentioned the Steelers could sign offensive tackle John Malecki off the practice squad, meaning the Steelers will go into Sunday's game with rookie Kelvin Beachum and a practice squad player backing up positions that have seen an injury in nearly every game for the last season and a half.
When it rains, it pours.
