The Titans took on more injuries as they were taking a beating from the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5.

Running back Javon Ringer suffered a sprained right knee - an injury that appeared much worse on film - in the fourth quarter of Tennessee's 30-7 defeat at Mall of America Field, and will miss 4-6 weeks.

Ringer backed up starter Chris Johnson, a player who's been both ineffective and injured in recent games against the Steelers. He left the game after taking a savage hit from Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons in Pittsburgh's 19-11 win in Nashville.

Johnson left with 16 carries and 34 yards in the loss. He's taken nearly all of the Titans rushes this season, with Ringer only having gotten two handoffs and three receptions in two games played.

Whomever is carrying the ball for the Titans, he hasn't been effective. Through five games, they've rushed for 327 yards on 93 carries (3.5 yards per carry) and that number is inflated somewhat by Locker's 67 yards and a direct snap rush by cornerback Jordan Babineaux that came against the Vikings.
