Steelers Digest reporter Bob Labriola tweeted the news Thursday, three days before the game is scheduled to begin.
Disruptions to schedules are usually as difficult as teams want to make them. On one hand, having the players travel much earlier in the day than they usually do could be seen as a problem. At the same time, the Giants reverted to their Monday Night schedule - preparing on a similar schedule to what they'd use if they were playing on Monday Night Football.
On the other, traveling the same day of a game is rare, unusual and potentially unsettling. Teams usually travel to their regional destinations in the early afternoon the day before the game. It gives the team a chance to settle into their surroundings, and have meetings as well as full preparation time before the game.
The weather no doubt messed up the plans of millions in the area, and neither the Steelers nor the Giants are any different. It's definitely something different, but also something Steelers coach Mike Tomlin will not let his team dwell on it.
