Antonio Brown Injury: report suggests Steelers receiver may be out longer than one game

Matt Sullivan

A report surfacing Sunday suggests Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown will miss more than just Monday Night's Week 10 game against the Chiefs.

Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has already been ruled out for Pittsburgh's Monday Night game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Now, a report coming from Pro Football Talk suggests he may be out longer than that.

PFT cites a source who is saying Brown's injury is "worse than believed," and could be something that keeps him out of multiple games. The source didn't list a timeframe, but PFT points out the Steelers play Baltimore in Week 11, Cleveland in Week 12 and Baltimore again in Week 13.

It could also be around a time the wife of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger delivers their first child. That could lead to both players being out of a combination of three critical divisional games. The Steelers are 1-0 in the division, trailing Baltimore by a game. The Ravens are 3-0 in the division (with wins over Cincinnati and two against Cleveland).

Brown was initially diagnosed with a high ankle sprain - an injury that often takes more than one week from which to recover, especially for wide receivers.
