Steelers are nearly done

Before anyone starts screaming , Im a Steeler hater or Im not a true fan , youre as wrong as wrong can be . Ive been a diehard Steeler fan for more than 35 years . Two things that have ultimately decided the 2012 Steelers fate is injuries and we simply cannot beat the Baltimore Ravens . Our best player on the team has gone down for probably a month , one Ben Roethlisberger . Two , our best wide receiver , one Antonio Brown is missing multiple games with a high ankle sprain . Those injuries , can be two weeks or more than a month depending on the severity . Rashard Mendenhall is still struggling coming back from knee surgery and achillies injuries . On the defensive side of the ball , its beginning to look like Troy Polamalu isnt going to make it back this year . While thats not official , the fact is , hes not practicing and hasnt for nearly two months . Those types of injuries are monumental to a football teams success . The teams chances of winning the AFC North has gone down the toilet barring some kind of collapse by Baltimore . The best the Steelers can hope for is hopefully getting a couple of these guys back and somehow squeezing out a wildcard spot . It the team does manage to do that , at some point we have to play the Ravens again . Right now , the Steelers havent proven they can beat the Ravens at home or on the road . Thats hard to hear but thats the state of the 2012 Steelers .
