Steelers Injury Report: Antonio Brown limited Wednesday, Ziggy Hood misses practice

The door is still open on a return from wide receiver Antonio Brown when the Steelers take on the Browns in Week 12.

Lost in the roster shuffle of this past week is the possibility Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown may play Sunday when the Steelers travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns.

Brown suffered a high ankle sprain in the Steelers' Week 9 win over the Giants. He was limited in practice Wednesday, suggesting there's still a chance he plays in a game that will pit a different Steelers offense against Cleveland on the road.

Brown's return could help stabilize that changing offense, though. Veteran QB Charlie Batch has hit WR Mike Wallace with at least one 20-plus yard pass in each of his last three starts (Week 15 in 2011, Weeks 3 and 4 in 2010), but without a reliable possession receiver, he could struggle against a solid Browns pass defense (10th in sacks, 12th in picks).

Defensive end Ziggy Hood (back) missed Wednesday's session as well, casting doubt over his availability Sunday. If Hood is out, Cameron Heyward will make his first career start.

Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder) Byron Leftwich (ribs), Jerricho Cotchery (ribs) Marcus Gilbert (ankle) and Troy Polamalu (calf) also missed practice Wednesday.
