For contenders, the NFL season starts in Week 12. Six more games to play, the best separate themselves, the teams who fell behind early have the time to make their charge.
The Browns aren't one of those teams, and have the "spoiler" tag attached to them once again.
The Steelers head into Week 12 as the AFC's sixth seed, giving them a road playoff game for the second consecutive year. If they wish to improve on that, they'll need to win all but maybe one of their remaining games.
That has to start against a Browns team that's held the Steelers' offense in check in three of the team's last four visits to Cleveland Browns Stadium.
Offense looks to be at a premium for the Steelers anyway. With QB Ben Roethlisberger and possibly WR Antonio Brown out for this game, the remaining offensive weapons must find a way to rally under Charlie Batch (making his first start since Week 16 in 2011) and defeat a team they should beat.
It looks as if the Browns will get back CB Joe Haden, casting more doubt on the Steelers' ability to move the ball much offensively.
It appears it will be a cold and blustery game in Cleveland, with snow moving through the area this morning. It'll be good conditions for two teams likely to run the ball often. With special teams possibly being a deciding factor, two of the AFC's best kickers - Phil Dawson and Shaun Suisham - look to stay hot despite the elements.
Kickoff between the Steelers and Browns is set for 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on CBS.
