Ben Roethlisberger and Byron Leftwich will both practice Wednesday, but Charlie Batch is the starter

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin didn't rule out either injured Steelers quarterback for Pittsburgh's Week 13 game at Baltimore, but said Batch is expected to make his second straight start as of Tuesday.

With little to no guarantees of anything for the injury-plagued Steelers, coach Mike Tomlin said he is preparing to take on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13 with Charlie Batch under center.

He didn't rule out the possibility of the return of Ben Roethlisberger or Byron Leftwich, but the plan, as Tomlin said, is to create a game plan based on Batch's strengths.

Along with the news that rookie Kelvin Beachum will make his first career start at right tackle - replacing injured Mike Adams - the Steelers' offense looks to be in yet another questionable position. Riding a two-game losing streak in which the Steelers have generated very little offense, they will be without a bookend tackle to defend Baltimore's sacks leader, Paul Kruger.

Along with that and the possibility of Batch starting his second straight game, Tomlin noted WR Antonio Brown will practice Wednesday in an effort to get on the field Sunday. He said the same about safety Troy Polamalu.

"We are looking to get some guys back potentially but we aren't going to hold our breath," Tomlin said at his press conference Tuesday.

The Steelers also may get left guard Willie Colon back after missing the Steelers' Week 12 game with a knee injury.

The same cannot be said for OLB LaMarr Woodley, who suffered an ankle sprain against Cleveland. Tomlin said he's doubtful for Week 13.
