US PRESSWIRE

The Cowboys have been banged up all season, and that trend appears to be continuing heading into their Week 15 game against the Steelers.

It's a fair statement to say the Dallas Cowboys aren't as good a team without outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware and wide receiver Dez Bryant.

Both are looking at ailments that may prevent them from playing at 100 percent Sunday when the host the Steelers in Week 15.

In fact, it may keep both of them out of the game.

Bryant fractured his index finger on his left hand in the Cowboys' dramatic Week 14 win over Cincinnati. He's reportedly receiving a second opinion on whether the finger needs surgery immediately, or it can wait until the offseason.

Logically, they wouldn't be seeking a second opinion on whether he can play this weekend if the first opinion said he could. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the decision was up to Bryant, according to what Jones said on his radio show this week. The same report says Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett put the decision on the Cowboys' medical staff.

Ware missed Wednesday's practice with an elbow injury, and it's unclear right now whether he'll miss any more practice time or Sunday's game. Ware has played through multiple injuries this season, and has 11 sacks and four forced fumbles.
