Immaculate Reception Show on NFL Network Wednesday 8pm EST

NFL Network's "A Football Life" devotes a full hour this week to the Immaculate Reception and the many stories around the moment that changed everything for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The show airs Wednesday evening at 8pm on the NFL Network.

Here's an extended preview: http://www.nfl.com/videos/a-football-life

Yep, that's Homer talking about how it took a couple of years and commercials were still talking about "a deflected pass," but I assume there will be a lot more about what was said in the elevator, and the sideline interview with Franco. Please note the Steeler tie, and the gold shirt with the white collar and the black suit. Pittsburgh formal wear, we call it.

Also, there's an event Saturday at the Heinz History Museum with Franco, Frenchy, and lots of other folks. They'll call some of us up on stage in twos and threes to relive our memories of the day and the play. It starts at noon at the Senator H. John Heinz Regional History Museum on Smallman Street in the Strip District, right next to downtown Pittsburgh.
